"Compact" bicycle race takes place in Homel (photo)
It was dedicated to the Day without automobiles and started at 18.00 on September 22.
About 40 bicycle riders rode along a short route, accompanied by the traffic police. The route started in the Lenin Square, went along the Soviet Street and ended in the Rebellion Square.
Passers-by and automobilists, mostly taxi-drivers, stopped to see the master-class on figure-bicycle riding. It was held at the final point of the race - in the Rebellion Square. Some Homel inhabitants, who were riding their own bikes, even joined the action.
