"Dazhynki-2012" harvest festival starts in Horki
It is planned that several dozen thousand people will visit the Republican festival of agriculture workers.
A "massive cultural program" has been prepared for Horki inhabitants and guests, BELTA informs. More than 3 500 artists will create festive mood at 10 basic concert grounds. The opening ceremony of the memorial sign "Symbol of Horki Land Prosperity" is planned to take place in the central square of the town.
Alongside with various entertaining events there will also be sports ones, which will take place in the new ice hockey arena and at the upgraded town stadium. The main event of the festival will be the prize-giving ceremony - the best workers will be handed state awards and financial bonuses.
State leader Alyaksandr Lukashenka is expected to visit Horki.
