Freedom Day application to be filed next week
Second session of the organizing committee for celebration the BPR 95th anniversary took place on February 15.
According to the information provided by the BPF party website, it has been decided to hold a street action in Minsk on March 24. The participants plan to gather at a ground in front of the entrance to the Botanic Garden at midday. Then the rally will go along the Independence Ave to the crossroads with Surhanava Street and turn to the Peoples Friendship Park, where the demonstration will take place. The key themes of the action will be independence protection and demand to release political prisoners.
The official application will be filed next week. The applicants are
representatives of the BPF, the UCP, the BCD and the movement "For
Freedom".
It is also planned to rent the Palace of Culture of the Tractor Plant in order
to organize a festive event on March 24 from 5 till 9 p.m. Artist Mikola Kupava
announced opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Freedom Day at the BPF
office on March 22.
