Investigation on Syarhej Kavalenka's case is over

According to BelaPAN, the lawyer met with his client on January 24. They studied the case's materials. Now the case will be transferred to the public prosecution of the Pershamayski district of Vitsebsk. The prosecutor has 5 days to study the case and then it will go to the court.

Meanwhile, the lawyer asks to terminate the case and to release Kavalenka.

Let us remind you, the Vitsebsk inhabitant is accused of breaking the regime of serving punishment. He faces up to three years of imprisonment. Kavalenka was on a hunger strike for a month as a protest against the accusation and the arrest.
