Journalist Alyaksandr Barazenka not allowed to see a lawyer
The Akrestsina Street detention center's administration claimed that there had been no spare rooms for a meeting.
Let us remind you, the journalist was detained for 11 days for video-filming the action of solidarity with political prisoners. Barazenka announced a hunger strike of protest in the detention center.
According to Radio Liberty, his lawyer tried to meet with him on January 11. He wanted to write an appeal and to find out about the journalist's health condition. However, he was not allowed to see Barazenka.
The journalist's colleagues think that he continues the hunger strike and pass him juices.
The day before, the international organization "Committee for Protection of Journalists" (CPJ) condemned Barazenka's arrest and urged the Belarusian authorities to release him immediately.
