Journalist to stand trial in Lida today
“Belsat” reporter Syarhei Karpenka will stand trial.
The journalist is accused of violating two articles of the Administrative Code, informs “Vyasna”. They are “petty hooliganism” for swearing and “disobedience to the police” during his detention in Lenin Square at the silent action on June 22.
According to Syarhei, he was invited to an interrogation but policemen used physical force against him when he refused to talk to them. As a result, the journalist received a head injury.
