Lukashenka appoints Miklashevich head of Constitutional Court
The President has had to do it because Pyotr Miklashevich's 5-year term in this position has ended.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed the corresponding decree on February 8, BELTA reports.
Pyotr Miklashevich was born in Vileika District in 1954. His village Kasuta is famous because author of the first Ukrainian Constitution Pilip Orik was born there in the 17th century.
Miklashevich occupied the position of the Attorney General in 2004-2008. He was appointed head of the Constitutional Court in February 2008.
