Shushkevich: I tried to dissuade FEMEN from Minsk action
Activists of the Ukrainian movement FEMEN are planning to organize an action in Minsk on December 19.
The girls are planning to undress in the Belarusian capital to remind about the events on the night after the presidential election in 2010. The feminists have informed Stanislau Shuchkevich about it after his press conference in Kiev on December 12.
According to the politician, he was greatly impressed with the meeting with the Ukrainian activists and tried to dissuade them from the action.
Stanislau Shuchkevich: “I finished the press conference and there were 10 beautiful young girls! Any person would go crazy. I think that they want to come to Minsk and organize their action here. They want to arrive on December 19 but I told them that I had seen young and beautiful girls being beaten and crippled here so it was my duty to warn them…”.
However, he does not know whether the girls will listen to his advice. They only listen to their chairperson. But if the girls dare to come to Minsk on December 19, Shushkevich promises to attend their action to provide moral support for the feminists.
By the way, Stanislau Shushkevich claims that FEMEN activists were dressed when they met him after the press conference. He was amazed at their beauty.
