SU-25 crashes in Navahrudak District, pilot dead (+witness' comments)
Information about the plane crash has been confirmed by the Ministry of Defence.
"It is true that a plane has crashed during scheduled flights today. The pilot managed to fly away from the village of Naviny, Navahrudak District. The plane crashed two kilometres away from the inhabited locality", - informed the Ministry of Defence.
SU-25 that belonged to aviation base 116 and was used for training navigation at a low altitude. The pilot started losing control of the plane at about 3.36 p.m. Colonel Mikalai Hrydnyou, 1st class pilot, was ordered to catapult but he decided to fly way from the inhabited locality and died. A commission of the Ministry of Defence will investigate the accident.

“We were driving along the highway Hrodna-Minsk. Two military airplanes drew our attention near Lida as they were flying very low. One of them was going to land. They performed some pirouettes near the highway se we could see it very well from our car", - said witness Yulya to Euroradio.
