Youngster who pulled ticket collector by hair detained
A criminal case for violence against a person who performs his duties has been started against him. He faces up to 5 years in jail.
Navapolatsk police told Euroradio about this.
A policeman: "The criminal has been found and arrested. A criminal case under Article 366 has been started against him. Operative investigatory measures are in process, the witnesses have been found, they are under interrogation. The evidence is being collected in order to send the case to the court."
The case has already been transferred to the Investigatory Committee in
Navapolatsk. The police say that the youngster who pulled the ticket collector
by the hair was absolutely sober. He explained his deed by his wish to protect
the kids.
Now he faces a fine, or correctional labour, or arrest for the term up to 6 months. Restriction of freedom or imprisonment for up to 5 years is also possible.
