Russia gets angry with Czechs for removing hammer and sickle from monument
The city council of Brno, the second largest city of Czechia, has decided to remove the symbol of hammer and sickle from the monument to the Red Army installed in a Brno District Královo Pole. A symbol of a red star will appear on the monument together with a list of Russian soldiers who fought and died in Královo Pole, notes www.onet.pl.
The Russian Embassy to Czechia reminds in a special press-release that the Red Army liberated the major part of Czechoslovakia at the end of the WWII fighting with the help of the symbol of hammer and sickle.
