Russian MPs want to deprive Andrei Makarevich of awards
They are accusing him of ‘anti-Russia policy propaganda’, Izvestiya reports.
Member of the ruling party United Russia Evgeni Fyodorov has suggested it.
"Andrei Makarevich has been cooperating with fascists for a long time. He made the choice long ago – when he changed sides and supported the enemies of the Russian Federation,” Fyodorov said.
The possibility of depriving the musician of state awards should be considered together with the corresponding changes in the law – they should allow depriving traitors of state awards.
Andrei Makarevich has criticized the events in Ukraine and Crimea many times. He visited Sloviansk and Semyonovka and gave a concert in Svyatogorsk on August 12. The singer publicly criticizes the position of the Kremlin.
