Young Front member Zmitser Kramyanetski detained in Minsk

Policemen arrived, told him ‘to follow’ them and took Kramyanetski with them.

The Young Front member was also arrested in May – during the wave of preliminary detentions before the Ice Hockey World Championship. Minsk Lenin District Court returned Kramyanetski guilty of petty hooliganism and fined him for Br2 million 250 thousand.

Kramyanetski is not the only person detained on Monday. Zmena activist Pavel Vinahradau was jailed for 10 days for petty hooliganism. The detentions of activists are probably connected with the meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and the Customs Union in Minsk on August 26, human rights defenders think.
