Poland to bid farewell to presidential couple today
Coffins with the bodies of Lech and Maria Kaczyńskis will be placed in the Presidential Palace to allow citizens to pay their respects.
The body of Lech Kaczyński’s wife – Maria Kaczyńska – will be brought to Warsaw on the morning of April 13. After a ceremony in the airport, the motorcade carrying the coffin will head to the Presidential Palace along the city’s thoroughfares. Then the family and relatives of the deceased will head for a mass in the chapel of the Presidential Palace. After the mass ends, the coffins with the bodies of Lech and Maria Kaczyńskis will be placed in the Presidential Palace so that citizens could pay their respects.
All those who died in the air crash near Smolensk are planned to be commemorated on Saturday, April 17.
