Journalist detained in Minsk court
Syarhei Kavalyou, cameraman of the Polish TV channel Belsat has been detained in Minsk Frunze District Court.
He was making a report about the trials of participants of the “silent” action detained on July 3. Three people in plainclothes approached Kavalyou when he was taking pictures of the corridor in court. They took the journalist in an unknown direction, reports Radio Liberty.
The colleagues of the detained are trying to contact the Polish Embassy in Minsk. However, Syarhei Kavalyou is a Belarusian citizen and the consulate cannot help him.
