Lukashenka orders to demolish Moskovski bus terminal in Minsk
The head of Belarus signs edict to give a go-ahead to the construction of a multi-functional complex instead of the bus station in Minsk's north-east
Interfax-Zapad news agency reports the edict envisages the implementation of an investment project by Beltransgaz to build a hotel, a parking, a sports and healthcare center on the site of Moskovski bus terminal in Minsk in 2013-2018.
The investor will rent over 8 ha of land and pay over $17 million as fees for the right to enter into the rental agreement.
Under Alexander Lukashenka's edict, the investor will compensate the city of Minsk for the domolition of Moskovski bus terminal by wiring almost $14 million to the city's budget.
