Votes already counted at some closed polling stations
Some polling stations have already been closed although the election will end at 8 p.m. The votes have been counted there, CEC spokesperson Mikalai Lazavik announced on Belarus 1.
The voting has ended at the polling stations where 100% of registered people have already voted. It often happens in sanatoriums, hospitals and military units. The votes have been counted there but the results cannot be made public until 8 p.m., Lazavik said.
The turnout is close to 75%, the Central Election Commission reports. The number will increase by a few more percent by the end of the voting, Lazavik thinks.
