It will soon be necessary to create the European government, President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz claimed after Greece negotiations. The current model of the European Union does not correspond to the reality, the politician thinks.
The EU leaders often defend the interests of their own countries and it does damage to Europe’s general interests, Schulz noted. “All the good goes to the member states and Europe has to deal with all the bad,” RBK quotes him.
The EU member states are unable to solve such problems as climatic changes, migration, international trade and tax evasion on their own, the politician thinks. Schulz had suggested creating a single European legislative body for it.
