Georgia Airports Association: No airplane was hijacked in Belarus
The press service of the Georgian airline has refuted the messages about a Georgian citizen’s attempt to hijack a Kutaisi–Minsk plane on June 10.
The Belarusian KGB detained a Georgian citizen on Tuesday. He was reported to have tried hijacking an airplane with the help of a threat note.
However, the company Georgia Airports Association (Kutaisi Airport is part of it) claimed that there had been no hijacking attempt, newsgeorgia.ru reports.
Still, the Georgian airplane confirmed that the Belarusian KGB had detained a Georgian citizen.
