Belarus jet fighter crashes near Hantsavichy
Two Belarus Air Force pilots have died in a crash near Hantsavichy.
A MiG military jet from the air force base in Baranavichy today crashed near Hantsavich, killing two pilots aboard. A Lt. and Lt.-Col had recently been transfered from an air base in Byaroza where the air force unit will be phased out.
Investigators are probing the cause of the accident.
The local office of Ministry for Emergencies
declined to comment on the crash. The European Radio for Belarus has
learned that the jet crashed outside the town and no buildings were
damaged or people on the ground killed.
