10,000 Belarusians get British visas in 2007
The British Embassy in Minsk issued around 10,000 visas to the citizens of Belarus in 2007.
Embassy spokesperson Kasya Byaspalava told Belapan that over 3500 visas were issued to the Belarusian children from the areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident. The kids visited the Great Britain as part of humanitarian and health rehabilitation programs.
Around 1000 student visas, 1500 business visas, 2500 "family visas" and 1500 ordinary six-months visas were also issued.
