18:12 High-ranking U.S State Department official arrives in Minsk
David Kramer, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, arrived in Minsk on Monday.
While in Minsk on a three-day visit, David Kramer will meet with the leaders of pro-democracy movement and business community, independent economists and political commentators, students, independent media and the relatives of political prisoners and officials, the U.S. Embassy said.
But the Belarus's Foreign Ministry said it was not aware of the visit.
