About 3000 Belarusian children from regions affected by Chernobyl disaster have visited Great Britain in 2008. The British Ambassador to Belarus Nigel Gould-Davies has informed BelaPAN about it. According to him, Belarusian citizens have sent about 10 thousand appeals to the British Embassy this year. More than 90% of them were satisfied.
The Ambassador also noted that Great Britain had started giving out biometric visas in 2008. A unique project of mobile collection of biometric information was elaborated after that. It means that children from back settlements will not have to go to Minsk to send an appeal, informed the diplomat.
