Alyaksandr Bahdanovich: Belarus should not refuse from Olympics

Russian national team was suspended from the Winter Olympics for political reasons, MP and ex-rower, 2008 Olympic champion Alyaksandr Bahdanovich told journalists.
It is necessary to suspend the involved sportsmen instead of the whole team, Bahdanovich believes.
He suggested that Russian sportsmen participated in the Olympics in PyeongChang as part of Belarus national team.
Yet, Belarus should not refuse from the 2018 Olympic Games, the MP thinks. Russian MP Vitaliy Milonov has recently made the suggestion to express solidarity with Russia this way.
Belarusian sportsmen have nothing to do with the conflict between the International Olympic Committee and Russia, Bahdanovich noted. Our athletes need to do their best at the Games, he said.
