Belarus defense minister gets $1700 p.m.
Belarus's Defense Minister Leanid Maltsau on Thursday revealed the amount of his monthly salary.
During a press conference in Minsk, Maltsau said that his salary (p.m.) amounted to Br3.7 million, including Br300,000 as a rank bonus, Br1.208 million as a wage rate, Br600,000 as a bonus for the years in service, "plus several other allowances", reports Belapan.
A Private (driver), serving on contract, is paid Br476,000 ($240) per month.
