Belarus to get Russian credit next week
The Russian $500 million credit will not arrive in Belarus before March 10, think representatives of the Belarusian National Bank. One of the reasons for the delay is three days-off in a row including Monday, March 9, in Russia.
Let us remind you that the Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the allocation of 500 million dollars to Belarus and charged the Ministry of Finance with obeying the decision as quick as possible.
Our country received the first part of the Russian credit last year – 1 billion dollars. The other part of 1 billion dollars will come in two parts of 500 millions.
By the way, Belarus’ foreign debt increased by 1 billion 382 million dollars in 2008 and totaled 3 billion 719 millions on January 1, 2009.
