Belarus lost about $100 million on Russia’s sanctions
Our country has also lost over $200 million because of the devaluation of the Russian rouble.
Belarus lost about $100 million in August-December 2014 due to sanctions Russia imposed on Belarusian food supplies. The number has been announced by Minister of Agriculture and Nutrition Leanid Zayats, interfax.by reports.
"Belarus also lost over $200 million because of the devaluation of the Russian rouble,” the official added.
However, the prospects are ‘very positive’, the Minister said. He is hoping that all the restrictions will be cancelled in the near future. Only the Belarusian beef supplies are banned now and all types of ‘pork’ are already being exported to Russia, Zayats said.
