Belarus official unemployment figures stand at 44900

44900 jobless citizens were registered in Belarus as of June 1, 2008 or 5.9 percent less against the same period in 2007, reports Ministry of Labor and Social Security. The current unemployment rate is 1 percent (1.1 percent as of June 1, 2007 and 1.6 percent as of June 1, 2006).
