Belarusian hockey players have lost in overtime against Kazakhstan 2: 3. The match took place in Nur-Sultan on May 4. Our players were in disadvantage after the first period losing 0: 2. In the second period, Artsyom Dzyamkou scored a goal, and at the beginning of the third twenty minutes Mikita Feaktsistau equalized the score.
Nevertheless, in overtime the hosts were stronger and Belarusians lost the match.
Despite the loss, our national hockey team has returned to the elite division, as the Lithuanians defeated the Korean team and took away their points. Belarusians stayed in second place after four rounds and are no longer attainable for the competitors. The national team of Belarus has 10 points, while the national team of South Korea has 6 points. Even in the event of a loss in the last match, our team will retain the second position.
