BT: Decision on Belarus 24 in Ukraine came as a surprise
The Belarusian TV and Radio Broadcasting Company's representatives decline comments while 'looking into the situation.'
On October 15 National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio decided to take the case of channel Belarus 24 to court. On October 1, random monitoring of the program was carried out. As a result, anti-Ukrainian propaganda and distortion of information on political developments in Ukraine was found in the program "Human Rights. View of the World". Deputy Chairman of the National Council Grigory Shverk noted that later the National Council would take the issue to court.
"Both for the BTRC and the channel Belarus 24 this information was as surprising as it was for all the others," says the head of the press service of BTRC Svyatlana Smalonskaya-Kraskouskaya. We will look into the situation and investigate the causes. Comments will be given later."
