Criminal case about assault and battery of head of State Control Committee Zyanon Lomats sent for trial
The criminal case about assault and battery of the head of the State Control Committee Zyanon Lomats has been sent for trial.
The military commission of the Supreme Court of Belarus will start the hearing on November 5. A press secretary of the Supreme Court Anastasia Tsymanovich has informed about it.
According to her, the hearing will take place in private. The incident took place in Mahileu in July 2007. Three KGB members and a member of the State Secretariat of the Security Council are suspected.
They are accused of power abuse and violence. Two of the accused are in custody and the other two have given a written undertaking not to leave the country.
