Decision on Volha Klaskouskaya's appeal to be taken today
The final verdict to the convicted Belarusian will be announced today in Stockholm.
Klaskouskaya is accused of attempted homicide of her husband - Swedish citizen with Turkish roots Gökay Bezgin.
A few days ago, Volha sent a letter to her mother Lyudmila Klaskouskaya, Radio Liberty reports. Volha writes that the Court of Appeals is the last instance court. It will decide whether the sentence of 8 years in prison should stay in force. The mother hopes the court will abolish the sentence.
Belarusian citizen Volha Klaskouskaya was arrested in Sweden back on March 30. The court sentenced her to 8 years of imprisonment on August 23. She is also obliged to pay her ex-husband a 110 thousand SK compensation.
