European Parliament's press hall named after murdered Russian journalist
The press hall of the European Parliament in Brussels will be named after Anna Politkovskaya, the outstanding journalist who was shot dead in Moscow in November 2006, reports novonews.lv.
She was an outspoken critic of Kremlin's policy in Chechnya. Politkovskaya was 48 when she was murdered by contract killers near her house.
