George Bush urges Belarusian authorities to release Kazulin as soon as possible
The US President George Bush has demanded that the Belarusian authorities should immediately release Alyaksandr Kazulin. Bush talked about women fighting for freedom in his speech dated for the Historical month of women that March is traditionally considered to be in the USA. He mentioned the wife of a former Belarusian presidential candidate Alyaksadr Kazulin – Iryna - who died of an oncological disease on February 23.
Iryna was fighting for the release of her husband after he had been imprisoned for 5.5 years for protesting against falsification of results of the presidential elections in 2006. She became the voice of all political prisoners of the Belarusian regime”, - claimed George Bush.
He also noted that Iryna Kazulina “had prepared Belarus for becoming a free, fair and open society”.
