Hans-Johann Schmidt to leave position of head of Minsk OSCE office ahead of time
The current head of Minsk OSCE office Hans-Johann Schmidt will leave the position of the head of the mission in September which is ahead of the planned time.
His term was supposed to end in February 2010. However, numerous scandals and ambiguous statements of the Ambassador have put an end to his carrier in Europe, informs “Belarusian Partisan”.
According to unofficial sources, the German diplomat will be appointed Ambassador to an African state.
The new deputy head of the OSCE office, a Kazakh diplomat Jandos Asanov, will be introduced in Minsk on September 8.
