Investigation Committee confirms worker’s death at Belaruskali
The Investigation Committee has confirmed the death of a worker in a Belaruskali mine on the evening of January 3.
Investigators have descended into the mine to study all the details of the incident, official spokesperson of Minsk Region Investigation Committee Tatstsyana Belanoh told BELTA.
Information about the worker’s death appeared on VKontakte after 5 p.m. on January 3, Euroradio reported. The roof collapsed and killed a 51-year-old worker. He man had two young children, people reported in social networks.
This is the first tragedy at Belaruskali this year. A number of incidents occurred at the enterprise in 2016. A 22-year-old Belaruskali worker died in a mine on November 14.
