Kalyakin re-elected leader of Communist Party
The 12th congress of the Belarusian Communist Party took place in Minsk today.
More than 200 delegates took part in it. Syarhey Kalyakin was selected head of the BCP’s Central Committee again.
The Central Committee includes 51 members. The Central Revision Commission was also elected there. The delegates of the Congress adopted a resolution on amendments and changes to the BCP Statute. The amendments are caused by changes in the Belarusian legislation.
There are more than 3 thousand members in the Belarusian Communist Party as of March 1, 2007.
