Kazulin may stay in colony till tomorrow – Ihar Rynkevich
The issue of completely releasing a political prisoner Alyaksandr Kazulin from the colony is being decided in Minsk now. This is the opinion his former lawyer Ihar Rynkevich shared with ERB. Let us remind you that Kazulin’s wife Iryna died yesterday. The question whether Alyaksandr Kazulin should be released to attend the funeral arose. According to Rynkevich, the law allows the head of the colony “Vitsba-3” to do it after having informed the local Public Prosecutor about it. However, Vital Ahnistsikau says that he is waiting for permission of the Penal Department.
“There is no reason not to allow Alyaksandr Kazulin to take a short break for 7 days to bury his beloved wife”, - says Rynkevich.
He claimed in his interview with ERB that any further retardation of the issue, if it didn’t concern releasing Kazulin completely, “would make the authorities and the head of the colony responsible for it”.
“In this case we will consider it as discrimination and pressure exercised on the Kazulins and as a violation of Alyaksandr Kazulin’s constitutional rights”, - says Ihar Rynkevich.
According to him, information that Kazulin may stay in the colony till tomorrow has appeared.
