KGB chief: Haidukou may be jailed for other reasons rather than treason
KGB chief Valery Vakulchyk has discussed two “spying” cases with journalists today.
The KGB chief is sure that the investigation of “Andrei Haidukou’s case” will be impartial. “It will be impartial. Nobody will hide any details except for the state secret,” Vakylchyk claimed. The metalworker from Navapolatsk is standing a closed trial in Vitebsk Province Court now.
At the same time Haidukou may be imprisoned for other reasons rather than for treason, interfax.by quotes Vakulchyk.
KGB has detained another suspect, Vakulchyk said. But he refused to comment on any details. He only noted that “a spy doesn’t always mean that it has to be a Belarusian citizen.”
