Runaway Kyrgyz ex-PM sentenced to life imprisonment is found in Belarus

Кыргызстан знайшоў у Беларусі свайго беглага прэм’ера, асуджанага да пажыццёвага

The Kyrgyz MFA has sent a note to chargé d'affaires ad interim of the Republic of Belarus Syarhei Ivanou on July 28. The reason for summoning the diplomat was the information about the creation of the company Belarusian National Biotechnological Corporation. The Kyrgyz authorities recognized ex-PM Daniar Usenov sentenced to life imprisonment in the company’s head Daniil Uritski.

The presence of Daniar Usenov in Belarus is inadmissible, Kyrgyzstan says. Official Minsk keeps supporting former higher officials returned guilty of grave state crimes in Kyrgyzstan despite the activation of Belarus-Kyrgyzstan relations in different fields, the diplomats noted.

The information about Daniar Usenov’s presence in Belarus appeared in Belarusian mass media at the end of 2017. Journalists recognized ex-PM Usenov in the head of the Belarusian National Biotechnological Corporation. However, they could not get any comments on the issue. The head of the company showed them his Belarusian passport proving that he was Daniil Uritski.

Ex-President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev also lives in Belarus – he fled from Kyrgyzstan with his family in 2010. He has built a house not far from Minsk and received the Belarusian citizenship. He was even awarded with the order of Peoples’ Friendship. He was sentenced to life imprisonment at home, TUT.by reports.
