Lithuanian TV crew to file protest over seized tape
A Lithuanian television (LRT) crew is set to file a protest to the Belarusian foreign ministry, demanding to return the tape with video footages of developments during the opposition action on March 25 in Minsk, LTR's Ruta Ribacevskenie told the Belarusian Association of Journalists. The reporter and her cameraman Jonas Grishkonis were detained during one of the clashes between the police and demonstrators and put into a police custody.
Around 2050 on March 25, the journalists were released. BAJ's Andrei Bastunets saw them walking out of the police station. They kept their camera in possession, but the video tape with the footage about the action was seized by the police.
The crew is accredited at the Belarusian foreign ministry, reports the Belarusian Association of Journalists.
