Makei at UN says sanctions against Belarus unacceptable

The Belarus’ Foreign Minister said that the world was evolving rapidly and that the pace of globalization remained very fast. As a result, the contemporary humanity cannot catch up. Because of this, says Uladzimir Makei, there appear the problems of political, economic and social plan. We should create new mechanisms that take into account the new global order in order to overcome them.

Makei, as the head of the Belarusian delegation, suggested that strengthening the role of the state should be considered as one of the elements of the global. In this regard, he spoke about unacceptability to  use sanctions against such countries as Belarus and Cuba, "the countries that are trying to build a strong state," informs the press-office of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.
