Ministry for Emergency Situations:no preliminary version of blast in Minsk
An apartment set on fire in Herasimenki St., 23, 8th floor, at about 3 p.m. on July 10. A woman's body was found there.
The local inhabitants say they heard a "bang", therefore there came rumours about a blast. Moreover, the windows in the balcony were blown away. However, the rescuers do not confirm that, they only speak about the fire.
Spokesman for the Ministry for Emergency Situations in Belarus Vital Navistki has said the following to Euroradio:
"We repeat, there was a fire notification, no messages about the blast, to the 101 service. According to our employees who worked there, it was a fire, a woman died. The reasons and circumstances are being clarified. We will inform the preliminary version as soon as it appears, on our website".
The experts are working at the tragedy site.
