Minskers’ cars not to be evacuated for 150 thousands
ERB has found out that cars parked in inappropriate places will not be evacuated from Minsk streets for 150 thousands. The mysterious company that Minsk driving inspectorate had been going to cooperate with has not got its prices approved by Minsk City Executive Committee and the State Control Committee got interested in it.
The V.I.P. evacuators whose service was supposed to be paid by car owners who park their cars in inappropriate places appeared in official mass media first. ERB indirectly confirmed this information in the article “Cars will be evacuated at V.I.P. prices – for 150 thousands” according to the head of the department of agitation and propaganda of the driving inspectorate of Minsk City Executive Committee Zhanna Traino. However, she said that inspectors had not met those evacuators and she did not know when they would appear in Minsk streets.
Trying to find out when the elite evacuators would start “hunting”, ERB turned to the head of the department of driving security of the driving inspectorate of Minsk City Executive Committee Maxim Padbyarozkin. According to him, evacuation prices are beyond the scope of the driving inspectorate.
Maxіm Padbyarozkіn: "Speaking about these evacuators… Yes, we have such an idea and we will be realizing it to increase the number of evacuators. However, the price of their services is beyond the scope of the driving inspectorate. There are authorities and certain structures – they will decide how much the evacuation should cost according to the law. That is why the driving inspectorate will not answer you how it will be counted and what the final decision will be”.
The head of the pricing policy department of Minsk City Executive Committee Iosif Rachytski assured ERB that the price for evacuation had to be economically grounded and approved before it was applied.
Іosіf Rachytskі: “If it is a private evacuator, they will have to register their prices in our committee. And it should be economically estimated and grounded on expenses. However, we have not discussed any of such prices yet”.
According to the head of the committee, evacuators would have to do a lot to get the price of 150 thousands approved. Taking into account the fact that the service will be obligatory and drivers will not be able to refuse it, nobody will allow them to make big money on it.

The chief engineer of the unitary enterprise “Car parks, parking lots, garages” Paytro Prudnikau told ERB that the evacuators signed a contract to rent places in their parks but have never delivered a single car to them. Moreover, there are rumours that the State Control Committee got interested in the company. So nobody knows what will be the end of the story about elite evacuation.
Pyatro Prudnіkau: “As far as I understand, the State Control Committee got interested in it. As soon as the State Control Committee gets interested, the process becomes different. They will probably take some decision and say: “Off you go, guys!..”
