Nahorny looks for super models in cafes and metro
A guru of the Belarusian model business promoting Belarusian girls on the international catwalk has found a model in a café for the second time.
Syarhei Nahorny: “After a casting in the concert hall “Minsk” I went to the café “Singing Fountains” with Kanstantsin Samaryn representing an American agency Fort Model. Dasha Aniskova came there with her parents too.
That’s how the story of Darya Aniskova began a year ago. She has won the contest “Belarusian super model” this week. Now the girl is going to represent our country at the contest “World super model” in New York. She came to Nahorny after their meeting in that café.
Interestingly, Syarhei Nahorny met Katsyryna Damankova who became a world supermodel in 2006 in a café too. However, it was more difficult at that time. Katsya flatly refused to accept his calling card. But she came to the studio with her parents a week later.
Syarhei Nahorny told ERB that looking for models in cafes and metro was common practice. If he can’t do it then a special team organizes the search:
“You know, I cannot find models very often nowadays. I’m always driving and I do not remember the last time I used the underground. Maybe I can find them in cafes. We have a lot of employees looking for new faces all the time wherever they could be found”.
According to Syarhei, girls do not get frightened:
“If they are assessed by a specialist there is a high chance they will stay on the catwalk”.
