Night Wolves refused entry to Poland (updated)

Polish border guards did not let bikers from the Russian club Night Wolves in the country. According to the BBC, the Polish side officially informed the Belarusian border service in Brest that the whole group - a motorcycle, two cars and vans that accompanied the motocross - were refused entry.

Today, a group of Russian bikers freely moved across the Belarusian border in Brest. There are 11 people in the group travelling on 10 motorcycles. Earlier, the Night Wolves, known for the support of the policy of Vladimir Putin visited the Mound of Glory near Minsk and the Brest Fortress.

Once on the Polish side of the border, the Russians were faced with tough customs inspection. "At the Polish customs. They are fully checking us, looking through all things: every T-shirts, each key and screwdriver," Interfax.ru quoted Andrei Bobrov, head of the bikers' column.

According to him, the customs officers also conducted an individual "cross-examination".

Last week, the Polish authorities officially informed the Russian Embassy in Warsaw of the entry ban for the Moscow - Berlin motocross participants marking the 70th anniversary of the Victory. Poland saw this rally as a provocation. Germany also reported that they had cancelled Night Wolves' visas.
