Outgoing MPs unwilling to decide on recognition of Abkhazia
The House of Representatives has not yet received
a formal request by Abkhazia's parliament to recognize the region as an
independent state, said Vadzim Papou, speaker of the lower chamber of the Belarusian
National Assembly.
A week earlier, the parliament of Abkhazia
urged
Papou said that it is the newly elected
parliament that will decide on the matter.
