Police trie to detain Uladzimir Malyarchuk
Two policemen tried to detain the leader of Vileika affiliate of the United Civil Party Uladzimir Malyarchuk in the lobby of his house. The reason for it was their desire to search the bag of the member of the opposition.
Malyarchuk brings independent editions from Minsk every Thursday. Thus Vileika subscribers get an opportunity to read “Narodnaya Volya”, “Nasha Niva”, “Tovarisch” and some other editions. Malyarchuk informed ERB that one of the policemen phoned the head of Vileika police Vasil Malikau after he had refused to show them his bag and to go to the police office.
After a short talk the policeman let him go and said: “This time you may be free”. Malyarchuk thinks that the reason for such attention to him is his participation in the Congress of Democratic Forces.
