Political draftee Andrus Tsanyuta threatened with criminal case
A member of Malady Front Andrus Tsanyuta has been threatened with a criminal case for insulting state symbols and the Belarusian President. Tsanyuta wrote that Belarus’ national symbols were the white-red-white flag and “Pahonya” emblem in his ideology copybook. The guy also noted that he considered Lukashenka’s presidency illegitimate.
Colonel Pavel Pishchulau made him to be on duty three times out of turn for it and threatened him with a prosecutor’s warning and criminal responsibility for insulting the President and Belarus’ national symbols.
In Tsanyuta’s opinion, there was no insult. He did not insult anyone in public and the things written in his copybook are not insulting and cannot result in criminal responsibility.
