Protesters briefly detained in Pinsk

Three opposition activists and a journalist were briefly detained by police in Pinsk, Brest region, on Wednesday over an unauthorized demonstration in support of arrested youth Alyaksandr Barazenka.
Alyaksandr Lubyanchuk, a member of the Malady Front youth group, and Ihar Salavey of the Movement for Freedom unfolded a sign reading, “Freedom to political prisoner Alyaksandr Barazenka!” on Kirov Square at the center of the city, while another activist, Kanstanstin Chuvak, and independent reporter Viktar Yarashuk were taking pictures of the demonstration.

Police held the protesters in detention for longer than a hour and released without charges. Officers forced Yarashuk to delete the pictures.
